Andrea Keller Helsel, colleague, William and Flora Hewlett Foundation
I was first touched by Pegi’s generosity a few years ago when I tentatively visited Canada as a new U.S. grantmaker. Pegi organized a meet-and-greet for me and my colleagues to meet several thoughtful Canadian environmental funders, and then offered candid and thoughtful guidance for years after. She was always available, and always ready with an encouraging word and a bit of wisdom. I am so grateful for the chance to have known her and benefited from her warm glow. And I am so sorry she is gone but hope her family and friends can still feel that Pegi glow around them. I can.
