Pegi is an eloquent advocate for the earth. Not preachy, screechy or pessimistic. She pioneered talking about our beleaguered planet to audiences from young kids, through precious donors (minor and major), through busy business types to premiers, prime ministers and princes. In the WWF communications world where it would be easy to become unfocussed and off mission, Pegi relentlessly kept us on track using communications to build profile and exert and inspire influence. Along the way, she showed she was also a great leader evidenced by her legions of devoted followers. I was honoured to be one of the followers.
